Mr. Wang Says so questions what i was actually already thinking but just having been to lazy to sit down and write about it. I saw the interviews with Wong Kan Seng who told the Parliament that there would be an “independent” investigation about how Mes Salamat could escape from the Detention Centre, the results would get published in ONE MONTH.
First thing i asked me was why it would take 1 month to watch at some CCTV tapes, get the responsible guards in a little room and question them 24/7 to the happenings.
Second and much more important question i stumbled over was, if these investigations really would be as indipendent as they were claimed or more…well… “Singapore style independent”. That last thing would be of course the case gets explained by Mr Wang in his post “The Independence of the Inquiry Commission”
