I got a bad flu within a week of arriving in singapore from southern Australia's quite cold winter. Obviously I wasn't used to the heat by the time i got the flu. Very very unpleasant having a high fever while still trying to acclimatise. I suppose at least that experience puts normal conditions while in good health into perspective.
