One witness told Channel News Asia about 30 to 40 participants had their bike tyres punctured by the tacks and had to drop out of the triathlon as a result.

Sabotage At The Singapore Ironman Triathlon

Todays, 24th March 2009 Singapore Expat News come from “Yahoo News“.

Obviously an unknown person has tried to commit a major sabotage on the Aviva Singapore Ironman Triathlon last weekend, scattering nails along the cycling track, successfully puncturing between 30-40 bikes.
