In fact its not really “tsk” but more of a ‘nts’ I get to hear a million times a day. An I’m sure you do as well. It’s origin is unknown but just when I finished writing about the wrong use of the word “excuse-me” in Singapore… The “tsk” expression actually starts to wreck my nerves on a whole new level.

It was reported in the Straits Times that Singapore’s birth rate dipped slightly to 1.28 last year, down a notch from 1.29 the previous year. This follows a very dangerous trend of Singapores birth rate having bad impact on the countries economy.

Whenever friends call me and leave the good news they would come and visit me soon (which in fact is only a result of their stop-over in Singapore) they usually ask me how long they should plan for Singapore.
My standard reply has been “Three days should be enough” so far, without ever really thinking about it. However, most of them usually decide for the “1-Day-Quickly-Leave-Again-I-am-not-even-allowed-to-chew-Bubble-Gum-here” option.

The nationwide Wireless@SG free wireless Internet service will get a speed boost to 1Mbps, up from half that speed now. Access will continue to be free for the next four years, till March 2013. A new log-in process that works in the background will make access less troublesome

About one month ago I moved out of my fancy East side Studio Apartment with whirlpool and Infinity Pool on the Rooftop, right into the Singaporean heart, an HDB flat on the 16th floor in Downtown Singapore. I miss the pool, I miss the Ocean but I have to say, I like it here anyway!
