Dear Brother in Christ,
Greetings in Jesus name.
We are Grace Child Care and Community Development, a social organization working
for the up-liftment of the poor and needy people in villages in India.
We would like to take the container of used clothes and shoe for our humanitarian work in the
villages. We are not taking for any business purpose. Would you
please clarify few lines for us to go head?
1. We would like to know in the container 40ft and 20ft.
2. What type of shoe and clothes does it contain?
5. What would be your cost? IS it fixed or negotiable?

Please make sure to gives us for a reasonable price. We would like to
hear from in this regard. If you give us for a reasonable price, we
would like to take more containers from you in the near future.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Samuel & Dr. Titus.

Two more ideas:
sgfreecycle is the Singapore freecycle network. The idea is to recycle stuff by giving them away instead of throwing them away.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SgFreecycle/

The Salvation Army receives donations-in-kind from the public and companies. In turn, then resells them at affordable costs through its network of Family Thrift Stores. Donations-in-kind may also be dropped off in our donation bins - see locations here:

Hi, thanks for the recommendations, i have checked out their sites and all have indicated acceptance of only monetary donations.

I'm wondering if there is a place where i can donate stuff which are still usable but they may not be exactly sellable since they maybe be kinda old. However, it'd still benefit those who are homeless... am talking abt old clothes, bags and shoes.

wish i had seen this blog earlier. I had to throw away tons of clothes, shows and other items because when i called the listed donated agencies they only ask for money, even the salvation army.

so i just threw it all away. good post, will come in handy as i regularly throw away stuff each time i have to move.

Is there a place I can go and donate food, like fruits etc? like just go there and hand out without being stared at or asked for $$$$

thanks for great posts John
