We all love adventure, and we all know that there is a small lack of possible thrilling activities in Singapore. Sit down at a reserved Hawker Center seat, have a Chewing gum in the MRT, that’s about it. But no!

For all nature loving and people who love to do something else beside cinema and desert, there are actually a couple of great activities out there in Singapore.

Not long ago I read a controversial post by fellow blogger Xiaxue, about Asian girls coloring their hairs blond, and how exactly that wouldn’t have anything to do with “wanting to be Ang Moh”.

Let’s say I was skeptical. After all there is an undeniable appearance of Western peoples or styles in advertisement and campaigns all over Singapore’s streets. The West is cool, big eyes are beautiful and being fair is the ideal. But is that actually really the case? Do we, the supposedly adored ones, maybe just wish being that ideal picture?

Before coming to Singapore I was reading only good things about the local health system. It was praised as being one of the best and most modern.

However, due to the lack of really bad injuries, I’ve never really had a reason to visit a real doctor or the hospital here during the last two years. Since that changed recently, here is my update.

I just stumbled over a useful webpage that offers help in preparing your trip to certain countries by providing a summarized etiquette about that places typical local behavior, eating habits etc. And Singapore is also on the list.

However, I had a good time reading the “Singapore Etiquette” because some things are just so out of place. I’m not blaming the author because he/she probably has never been here and looking at the worlds map, Singapore is clearly an Asian country (with supposedly Asian etiquette). However we all know that Singapore has its on laws and rules.

The moment you finally set foot on Singapore’s ground, you will realize what could have been planned better and what you forgot to bring. A pleasant stay in Singapore is very much dependent on a good preparation. Especially if you move here. Be prepared. Make a list, say “Good Bye” to everyone and… don’t bring a sweater, you wont need it.
