Today 18th December 2009 is the final day of the SEA games in Laos. It has been a great tournament and even though I’m by nature more a fan of soccer and Bavarian Curling I enjoyed coming home in the evening and seeing Singapore fighting for medal after medal.

Its winter in Singapore, hot, humid and wet, nothing has changed since the tropical Santa visited us last year.
However we all want to have some nice Christmas timeout some day, so here are the 5 places in Singapore that will bring you as close to a Winter wonderland as you can get!

I’m not religious, I don’t particular like Christmas anyway and after all, I am pretty much happy to live in Singapore.. but, there is this one time every year when I am not very, lets say, comfortable, being in the tropics, sweating my ass off if I don’t switch on the AirCon during night and enjoy hot drinks only in my (cold) office.

Once a year everybody is suddenly asking me if I’d know where to buy Christmas Trees in Singapore? Christmas Trees in Singapore? You are in the tropics for god sake, why don’t you put some palm tree leaves in your room and poke some decoration on it?

Some called this years ZoukOut the best evening they had in Singapore (in 3 years) some were major disappointed, where minds split what is left after all, are memories of a wild night, a record 27.000 people, DJs, sand, babes and drinks!

Every Year the Zoukout organizers will make sure they present some new features to attract as many people as the year before.
