You will most probably be able to hear and speak almsot every language in Singapore, its a multilanguage place.
And sometimes it would probably be quite interesting to know what the schoolkids, drunken teens or aunties are talking about!

Inside The School - Be Prepared
I remember myself sitting in between 20 other Singaporeans, attending an evening Japanese course, and being confused about what was going on around me. Although 50% of the attendes were house wifes who in the introduction round anounced proudly they were there "Because they had nothing else to do", i found myself sitting in the middle of our long ago 3rd grade math contest.

The group spoke in one item, repeating every sentence the teacher said, able to compete with every drilled army. When you personally were asked a question, at least 3 people loudly shouted out the answer before you got the chance to breath, showing their advanced knowledge and skills. There was no chance of individual learning process.
And after all, the 20 to 45 year old guys sitting around me seemed to have found themselves within some competition, not language course. But anyway...you get used to it.
