5 Fantastic Attractions Of Universal Studios Singapore You Shouldn’t Miss

The long wait is finally over and from my office window I already see the daily roller coaster test rides with itchy feed and the urge to just swim over and hop on one of the rides.
Soon the Universal Studios Singapore will open their gates to the public and to mouth water your Amusement Park senses even more.

The official opening date for the Universal Studios Singapore hasn’t been announced yet, planned is early 2010

1. Battle Star Galactica Roller coaster

Singapore Universal Studios Battlestar Galactica The Battle Star Galactica Roller coaster is the biggest and most unique dueling roller coasters at Universal Studios world wide, tipping at 42.5m (140ft).
Themed after the famous Science Fiction show Battlestar Galactica, the ride features two different roller coasters, riding on different tracks (Suspended Track (Blue) and one Seated Track (Red) dueling each other during the ride. The coaster will be launched from their stations at high speed instead of the traditional chain lift. Each coaster feature either several inversions, a zero-g roll, a Cobra roll, corkscrews, vertical loops and near collisions mere inches apart.

2. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure

Singapore Universal Studios Jurassic Park The Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure is an attraction ride, based on Steven Spielberg’s hit film Jurassic Park, that is solely placed in wild water rafting boats through the whole attraction.
There are two similar rides in other Universal Studios but this will be the first of its kind, featuring a whole “world” of Dinosaurs and interesting effects along the boat ride.

3. Revenge of the Mummy Ride

Singapore Universal Studios Mummy Ride Revenge of the Mummy is an indoor roller coaster which, and here comes the interesting part, will race through complete darkness.
The coaster is based upon the popular Mummy movie franchise and will be one of the flagship rides for the Singapore Universal Studios. The ride will be based around some adventure plot and take you through several stages of roller coaster rides.

4. Far Far Away Castle

Singapore Universal Studios Shrek The Far Far Away Castle is a whole complex housing several unique rides, attractions and other shops or restaurants. As you can guess the whole place is based on Shrek, the successful animation movie and will be a build for the first time in a Universal Studio.

The main attractions inside the Far Far Away Castle will be “Shrek 4D“, which will be a fully animated cinema experience with high tech seats and other effects, and “Enchanted Airways” a roller coaster through the shrek universe.

5. Lights! Camera! Action Show!

Singapore Universal Studios Light Show First of its kind in any Universal Studio the “Lights! Camera! Action show!” was created by Steven Spielberg, and will be a full stage show, including some of the best special effects for the audience.
It is rumored that an empty stage will be transformed into a setting for a whole hurricane hitting New York City.

wow, very nice blog and i’m looking forward to the opening of Universal Studios Singapore. Perhaps the first thing that I’ll do is to ride on the roller coaster. lol
